Use Cloudflare to manage your domain DNS

Cloudflare is optional

Bocadium does not require Cloudflare. If your registrar already lets you create A, CNAME and TXT records, you can connect the domain directly there.

Use Cloudflare if you want to centralize DNS management there or your current provider lacks a convenient DNS panel.

1. Add the domain to Cloudflare

   Create a Cloudflare account and choose “Add a domain / Onboard a domain”.

   Enter the root domain, for example restaurante.uy.

   Carefully review the records Cloudflare detects. If you use email, pay special attention to MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC.

2. Change nameservers at your registrar

   Cloudflare assigns two unique nameservers to the domain.

   Log in to the provider where the domain was registered and replace the current nameservers with those two values.

   If DNSSEC is enabled, Cloudflare recommends disabling it before the nameserver change and re-enabling it later from Cloudflare.

   Wait for Cloudflare to mark the domain Active; the change can take up to 24 hours.

3. Add Bocadium DNS records

   In Cloudflare open DNS → Records.

   Copy the A, CNAME and TXT records from Bocadium exactly as shown.

   For the Bocadium connection, keep web records as “DNS only” (gray cloud), especially during verification and certificate provisioning.

   Return to Bocadium and press “Verify”.
